What
FixEssay will do:
1.
Correct the spelling.
Australian English standards will be applied unless
you specify some other style.
2.
Correct or improve the grammar.
In this context, to ‘correct or improve’ the
grammar of an essay is to change it so that the resulting text
appears to have been written by a highly competent English speaker. (No guarantee
is offered that it will exactly follow the prescriptions of any particular
Grammar of English.)
3.
Adjust the style to conform to the normal academic writing style.
For example, first person (‘I’, ‘me’,
‘my’, etc.) will be eliminated, and contractions (‘can’t’,
‘won’t’, ‘we’ll’, etc.) will be expanded.
4.
Regularize the references and, if requested, the bibliography.
There are a number of standard reference systems,
(for example, APA.) You may nominate which you prefer or you can let the
editor decide.
5.
Tell you when your references are incomplete.
You may be lacking some necessary information for
your references; for example, the date of the publication.
6.
Make simple structural
improvements.
For example, if sections of
the essay seem to be in a less than optimal order - making the argument
difficult to follow - then they will be reorganized.
7.
Suggest more
extensive structural revisions.
For example, it is standard to have an introduction
and a conclusion. If such sections are missing and would improve the essay then you may be
informed of this.
For another example: if the argument of the essay would benefit from an
extensive reorganization, this might be suggested. In either case the
actual work must be your own.
